Freeze and Blur Motion

This weekend I had the pleasure to play around with motion. I was able to create a freeze motion and a blur motion in my pictures by changing the shutter speed, I used the TV setting on a Canon T3I.

“Throwing Color”- 05/04/19, 1:30pm, Teton Vu Drive In

Settings: 18-135 mm, f/3.5, 1/800 sec, Camera-Canon

“Fountains”- 05/04/19, 3:30pm, Tautphaus Park

Settings: 18-135 mm, f/3.5, 1/1000 sec, Camera- Canon

These first two pictures, I took on a Saturday afternoon. I was able to capture the freeze motion in these images (the chalk and the water) by using a fast shutter speed. On the first picture I used a bit slower shutter speed, after experimenting a little bit, I was able to find that a quicker shutter (ei. 1/1000-2000) is better these types of photos.

“Glowing Heart”- 05/05/19, 9:20 pm, The Cedars Apartments

Settings: 18-135 mm, f/5.7, 1″, Camera- Canon, Tripod

“Waves of Light”- 05/05/19, 9:29pm, The Cedars Apartments

Settings: 18-135 mm, f/5.7, 1.4″, Camera Canon, Tripod

These last two pictures were really fun to capture. I played around with glow sticks and a slow shutter speed to capture the movement of light.
